C.A.R. Scholarship Foundation and Education Foundation

C.A.R. has two foundations which provide scholarships and grants to students with a serious commitment to real estate and REALTORS® taking designation courses. Below you will find the qualifications for both the C.A.R. Scholarship Foundation established in 1948 & C.A.R. Education Foundation established in 2005:

The following are the qualifications for the C.A.R. Scholarship Foundation:

•Have a serious commitment to a real estate career.
•Must be currently enrolled in a 2 or 4 year college in California.
•Be enrolled at the time of application in a minimum of six units, at least one course must be Real Estate or Real Estate related.
•Must have completed a minimum of twelve college level course units within the last four years, at least two courses must have been Real Estate or Real Estate related studies.
•Students must have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 2.6 or higher from all colleges/universities attended.

The following are qualifications for the C.A.R. Education Foundation:

Students

•Application must be submitted AFTER coursework has been completed and within 12 months of completion.

•Applicant must be legal resident of the State of California at least one year prior to the date of application and have a valid California Driver’s License or State ID Card. A copy of your license or ID must be submitted with this application.

•Two letters of recommenation must be submitted with the application, including one from a college professor.
•A typed essay of at least 300 words expressing your career objectives in real estate.
•An official transcript from all colleges/universities attended must be submitted with this application.

REALTORS®

•Application must be submitted AFTER coursework has been completed and within 12 months of completion.
•Applicant must be legal resident of the State of California at least one year prior to the date of application and have a valid California Driver’s License or State ID Card. A copy of your license or ID must be submitted with this application.
•Two letters of recommendation must be submitted with the application, including a letter of good standing for your local Board/Association of REALTORS®.
•A typed essay of at least 300 words expressing the importance of the designation to your real estate career.
•A copy of the course certificate documenting completion must be submitted with this application.
